We believe in radical transparency about data practices. Innovatic is designed with privacy as a core principle — your code stays on your machine.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information You Provide

  • API Keys — You provide your own Claude API key to use AI features. This key is stored locally on your device and is never transmitted to our servers.
  • Feedback & Support — If you contact us for support, we may collect your name, email address, and the content of your communication.

1.2 Information Collected Automatically

  • Basic Analytics — We may collect anonymous, aggregated usage statistics (e.g., app launches, feature usage frequency) to improve Innovatic. This data cannot be used to identify you personally.
  • Crash Reports — If the App crashes, a diagnostic report may be generated. These reports contain technical information about the crash (stack traces, OS version, app version) and do not include your code, API keys, or personal data.
  • Website Data — When you visit our Website, standard web server logs may record your IP address, browser type, and pages visited.

1.3 Information We Do NOT Collect

  • Your Code — Innovatic operates entirely on your local machine. Your source code, project files, and git repositories are never sent to our servers.
  • AI Conversations — All interactions with AI agents happen directly between your device and the AI provider (Anthropic). We do not intercept, store, or have access to these conversations.
  • Keystrokes or Screen Content — We do not log keystrokes, capture screenshots, or monitor your screen.

2. How We Use Information

We use the limited information we collect to:

  • Operate, maintain, and improve the App and Website
  • Diagnose and fix bugs and performance issues
  • Understand how features are used to guide product development
  • Respond to support requests

3. How AI Features Work

Innovatic uses Claude (by Anthropic) as its AI engine. When you use AI features:

  • Your prompts and code context are sent directly from your device to Anthropic's API using your own API key.
  • We do not proxy, store, or have access to these API calls.
  • Anthropic's own privacy policy and data handling practices apply to these interactions. We encourage you to review Anthropic's Privacy Policy.

4. Data Storage & Security

  • Local-First — All your project data, settings, and configurations are stored locally on your device.
  • API Key Storage — Your API key is stored using your operating system's secure credential storage (macOS Keychain).
  • No Cloud Sync — Innovatic does not have cloud storage or sync features. Your data remains on your device.

5. Third-Party Services

The App may interact with the following third-party services:

  • Anthropic (Claude API) — AI model provider. Subject to Anthropic's Privacy Policy.
  • Git Hosting Providers — If you connect to remote repositories (GitHub, GitLab, etc.), your interactions with those services are governed by their respective privacy policies.

6. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties, except:

  • When required by law or legal process
  • To protect our rights, property, or safety
  • With your explicit consent

7. Your Rights

Since Innovatic is a local-first application, you have full control over your data:

  • Access & Deletion — All your data is on your device. You can access, modify, or delete it at any time by managing your local files or uninstalling the App.
  • Opt-Out of Analytics — You can disable anonymous usage analytics in the App settings.

8. Children's Privacy

Innovatic is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
